Aus bekannten Gründen fuhr ich zurück nach Panajachel und lernte hier nochmal spanisch

Reasonally I went back to Panajachel and lerned a bit more spanish in a quite friendly spanishscool

Auf den Treppenstufen zur Kirche stehen Menschen und verkaufen Opferblumen

At the stairs to the church you see people selling flowers, to sacrifice

Es ist eine ganz spezielle Kirche, hier beteten die Gläubigen zu den katholischem Gott, aber auch zu den verschiedensten Mayagöttern

This is a special church, they pray to he catholic God and to differnt Gods of he mayan culture

Schon vor der Kirche werden Blumen, Kerzen und Weihrauch entfacht

Infront of the church they burn flowers, candles and incense

Dazu beten sie flüsternd Ihre Gebete

They pray whispered prayers

In der Kirche gibt es Opfersteine wo dann Kerzen angezündet, Blumen gestreut und Alkohol vergossen wird.

Inside you see altares, they light candles, spread flowers and pour alcohol

Wieder draußen fragten wir nach dem Indigenen Museum...

Auch hier werden regelmäßig Maya Zeremonien gefeiert

Wie wird das wohl ablaufen, fragte ich mich...

Ein Zufall führte dazu dass ich dabei sein durfte, der wahnsinn. Still saß ich in der Nähe und beobachtete...

A coincidence, and I could see what they do. I was still there and saw what they did...

Es ging schnell, der Hahn wurde aufgehangen und einmal langgezogen und schon war er tot.

It was quick done. The rooster was hanging and he streched his body and he was dead.

Dem Hahn wurde die Kehle aufgeschnitten und das Blut abgezapft.

They cutted his head of and took the blood.

Rechts ist die "sacadote" die geistliche die die Zeremonie leitet

Kerzen, in verschiedenen Farben werden ins Feuer geworfen.

Gelb für eine gute Maisernte, rot und grün für andere Pflanzen

Dann wurde die Zigarre angezündet, wovon zwei bei jeder Zeremonie geraucht werden müssen um sie zu beenden.

They lighted a cigarr, they have to smoke two together to have a sucsessfull cermonie

Alle müssen mithelfen und die Kleine hat gehustet als hätte sie die Zigarre selbst im Mund.

They all have to smoke and the little one was coughing like she had the cigarr in her mouth.

Bunte Kerzen und Fotos werden verbrannt, Fotos von Menschen an die man denkt.

Während sie gelbe Kerzen opfert, raucht der Junge fleißig an der Zigarre und es sieht nicht so aus als hätte er Bock drauf.

While she is throwing more yellow candles in the fire the small guy is smoking the cigarr and do not look like he is happy with that.

Ein Handy klingelte, die Mutter zog es aus der Tasche und gab es der kleinen, die dann telefonierte....total dubios die szenerie. Auch die Mayawelt ist im wandel.

A cellfone was ringing, the mother pulled the cell out of her pocket and passed the fone to the little one...what a strange situation. The

mayan world is changing alwell.

Wenn schwarze Kerzen und Fotos ins Feuer kommen, heisst das nix gutes. Alkohol und Hahnenblut ebenfalls, deswegen gingen wir besser mal...

Black candles and pictures in the fire is not a good symbol. Alkohol and blood also, It was the reason why we left in some point...

Sehr schön anzusehen, die lebenden feiern mit den Toten, hier gehört der Tod mehr zum leben dazu

Nice to see, people are sitting and celebrating together with the dead friends. It seems that the death is more a part of live.

Und sehr auffällig dass die Stadt der Toten so bunt ist und im Hintergrund die Stadt der Lebenden trist und grau. Warum?

You see that the city of the dead guys is colorful and in the background you see the city of the living guys is just grey. Why?

Vielleicht ist es die Hoffnung, die die Gräber ausstrahlen sollen.

And I picked up my new Luggage-cover for the front carrier, together with my new Sidepaneel-bag my bike has a new latino-style :-)

Krass, auf der Fernstrasse überhole und stoppte mich ein Vespafahrer. Es war total aufgedreht und meinte es seinen in ganz Guatemala nur 20 Vespas gemeldet, um so glücklicher war er mich zu treffen...

Awesome, at one of the big roads a vesparider passed me and stopped me. He was quiet happy to see me because there are just 20 Vespas registrated in Guatemala. So he was happy to met me...

In der prallen Sonne wird der Sand brutal heiß, ganz logisch...

In the sun the sand will get hot, really hot, for sure...

Ich fand ein total cooles Hostel mit vielen lustigen Reisenden und wir hatten eine spontane Party am Abend, und sind spät nachts nacking ins Meer gesprungen ;-)

I found a quite nice hostal, and we had a good party at night, jumping naked in the sea included ;-)

Am nächsten Tag blieb ich im Schatten da die Sonne so knallte und vollendete ein paar meiner "Verschönerungsarbeiten"

At the next day I stayed in the shad, because the sun was to hot and I finished some "Beauty-works"

Auch mein neuer Freund fand einen Platz, und der Blick sagt doch schon alles.

Und auch der linke Spiegel hat Perlen bekommen, handbemalt aus Keramik.

Aber er hatte ein Herz und schleppte und nach Hause

But he had a heard and was dragging us in the port

Und dann saß da diese süße kleine Eule. Oh man, war ich glücklich sie zu entdecken und es ist die erste Babyeule die ich in meinem leben live gesehen habe...

And than I saw this sweet small owl. I was so happy to find this babyowl in the tree. And my first Owl I saw in the nature in my life...

Als wir an Strand n Bierchen tranken flog ein anderer Traum an mir vorbei.

Krass, ich was direkt wieder Feuer und Flamme. Zum Glück dauert ein Leben viele Jahre, da hab ich Zeit all meine Träume umzusetzen :-)

When we drunk a beer at the beach there was another dream of me passing by. Oh...I was again in love. Luckiely a life is long and I will have time enough to make all my dreams come true :-)

denn in einem Aligatorenbecken will ich nich baden müssen...

I parked the bike that it couldn´t fall in the water, just on the boat because I don´t want to rescue my bike from an Aligator-Aquarium...

Aber alles seicht, keine Wellen...

Und nun gehts die letzten Kilometer via Vespa zur Grenze, Hammer Erfahrung!

And now I just have to cruise the bike the last miles to the border, Awesome trip!
